    This role operates at a director scope, owning strategy, execution, and measurable growth outcomes while partnering cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Executive Leadership.

    The position is responsible for translating Tru-Stone’s precision leadership, ISO-certified quality systems, and ISO/IEC 17025-accredited calibration capabilities into sustained commercial success across global precision markets.

  • Production Associate I

    POSITION SUMMARY

    Prepare and perform operations to product such as setting inserts, hand polishing, inspecting product to print requirements, detailing work-pieces as required. Prepare and package finished products for shipment as required. Monitor products on a continuous basis to ensure products are of prescribed quality and meet both Customer and 


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

    • Follow established work procedures, and perform work assignments as required to meet all Starrett, Tru-Stone safety, quality and production goals. 

    • Study blueprints, work orders, and instructions to determine product specifications and requirements.

    • Lift and position work-pieces, manually or with hoists, and secure them on tables or stands.  Operate or tend tools that remove material on work-pieces.

    • Assist in the inspection and measurement of work-pieces to determine conformance to specifications.

    • Set inserts in work-pieces using best practices to ensure quality requirements are met.

    • Hand polish surfaces or components as required to meet specifications.

    • Assist in performing operations using manual equipment to maintain production requirements of the area.

    • Assist in preparing and packaging finished product as required to meet delivery schedule. 

    • Maintain current knowledge of the quality controls and stay current on literature and procedures pertaining to the 

    • Maintain a safe, clean and organized working environment.

    • Maintain all tools and inspection equipment per established procedures and requirements.

  • General Machine Operator

    POSITION SUMMARY

    Prepare and perform operations to product such as setting up and running general machining equipment including: saws, grinders, manual lathes, drills, mills, and polishing rounds.  Inspect product to print requirements.  Monitor products on a continuous basis to ensure products are of prescribed quality and meet both Customer and Company expectations


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

    • Follow established work procedures, and perform work assignments (as required) to meet all Starrett Tru-Stone safety, quality and production goals. 

    • Lift work-pieces manually or with hoists. Position and secure on tables using bolts, jigs, clamps, shims, or other holding devices. 

    • Observe drilling, saw or grinding machine operations to detect any problems.  

    • Operate single or multiple pieces of equipment so machining operations can be performed on work-pieces.  Activate machine start-up switches to grind, saw, drill, or cut work-pieces, according to specifications. Move machine controls to lower tools to work-pieces and to engage automatic feeds. 

    • Adjust setting stops to set traverse lengths and feed arm strokes. 

    • Set and adjust machine controls according to product specifications.  Select and set cutting speeds, feed rates, depths of cuts, and cutting tools according to machining instructions.

    • Study machining instructions, job orders, and blueprints to determine dimensional and finish specifications.

    • Verify/inspect conformance of machined work to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers and fixed gauges. 

    • Apply rounds, chamfers and deburr products during cycle times.

    • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

    • Maintain all tools and inspection equipment per established procedures and requirements.
